View Full Version : Linux on Ps2?
I’ve heard rumors about linux on Ps2…does anyone know something about it?
that's a commercial kit and costs quite a bit.
I don't quite see the reason behind it, tho. it doesn't do anything you couldn't do on a PC with linux too.

why the fuck would you have linux on a ps2?
Hey, but don't you think at what you could do with a ps2 and linux? It's all open source! You could play mp3,vcd,have access at a lot of features that now are unavailable..I know that I can do that also with a pc, but for other purposes. For example I could boot backups without mods..or no? ;)
nope. sony made sure that's impossible. you can not boot into psx or ps2 mode from linux anymore.
also, as for players etc, from what I gathered the ps2 linux is limited in alot more ways. it's basically useless.
:( Well, Arakon, if what you say it's true there's no matter to search for linux... By the way, does someone know what EgBrowser is?
it's a japanese webbrowser for ps2, very similar to the DC browser. not even mouse support and in jap, tho.
