I've tried this several times and made a few coasters, but I'm finally satisfied with the job that my Plextor 40x12x40 has done.
Or until something better comes along.
First thing I did was go to Plextor and update the firmware to 1.01
Then I made my image using Clone CD v 3.3.4.1
Read speed: 4x
Fast error skip on (read retries3/error correction none
Then I wrote to a CDR Memorex 700MB 80 min.
write speed 4x
AWS on
RAW DAO
Burnproof
Close last session.
** I did NOT use Betablocker on the image**
I also did NOT change the image at all,it is the same as my original.
The only thing I'm disatisfied with is the fact that I need to (In Clone CD) activate the "Hide CDR Media" function and to do that. I needed to make some changes in my regional settings to do this. This is not in my belief a true 1:1 backup copy because I don't need CloneCD to play my originals, but like I said before it'll do for now.
This is just for anyone wanting to know whether or not to buy the Plextor 40x12x40 or not.
