I downloaded a file with directions for burning PS2 games. It gave directions for burning a game and being able to play it without a mod chip. It said(I won't mention the specific details) to make an image file with CDRWin then use AddZer0 FrontEnd to patch it then burn the image with CDRWin. I couldnt get AddZer0 FrontEnd to work. Has anybody heard of this method? If so, have you had any luck? And would it actually be possible to play a PS2 CD-R without a mod chip?

no, it's impossible to make it simply boot. what those tools are for is a swaptrick that involves using a demo cd and ramming a knife into your ps2 to force it to open the tray so you can swap discs.
it's a very harmful and ugly way to play cdrs, and WILL damage your system sooner or later.
