I feel very sorry for Ireland. They definetely were the better team. I enjoyed watching the match and I really liked the way Ireland played. Anyway, I hope Germany beats the USA in quarter finals.
USA and "soccer" simply don't match and I hope they never will become wc. Let them play baseball, basketball and all that boring stuff.

Now for something different.
I am totally sick and tired of the uk newspapers' reports about german football. "Well-Playing England must go home, bad-playing Germany advances to semi-finals". This is absolutely ridiculous.
Germany didn't play very well, but what about South-Korea, Spain, Brazil, England ??? Those teams all played rather bad, horrible to watch. What is England complaining about? They haven't been able to beat an average team which was playing with only 10 men. Sorry for them, but if they are not able to make it, then they simply don't deserve it. England will never reach the status of Germany (10 times semi-finals, 6 times final in a wc, 3 times wc) and they are simply jealous.
I am quite sure, Germany will NOT become wc this time, but reaching the semi-finals is already a success that none of us had expected.

I got a world cup competition thingy from McDonald's with my meal at the start of the world cup. I looked at it and it was Korea and £50 (I get the money if they win) :( :confused: I was about to throw it away as Korea hadn't a hope.

I am quite sure Brazil will do it, but they are not that strong. Taking a look at the last match, they don't have tight defense, and the attackers are too egoistic, so they missed a lot of chances. It will be hard for them to beat Oliver Kahn. Maybe he wins Germany the title.
Germany didn't have too many chances, but they always made a goal. Marcos isn't too bad, neither, but Kahn is simply the best. On the other hand, one goal for Germany won't be enough. So here is my opinion:
Germany vs. Brazil: 1:2 (3).

I hope Germany will proof me wrong!!

Yea Kahn's been great in this tournament. Only one goal went past him if I'm correct - Robbie Keane in first round 90th minute ;)

Well the latest piece of exciting news is that someone seems to have figured out how to clone Tages - and it's even been tested!! *celebrations*

Ok, ok, so only one game is protected with it - but that'll teach them assholes (if it works lol)

About the whole ban on computer games in Greece - I heard on BBC News on Radio 1 (reliable source) about it. They interviewed a few Greeks and one physics teacher who was arrested for lettings a child play chess on his computer.
The ban is meant to stop all types of gambling but also takes in things like Playstations etc.

I'd guess that this should probably be scraped very very soon. It's madness.

Have a look at this (http://24.78.2.184/helpcenter.htm). The files in any specified folder can be deleted from your computer if you're running XP before SP1 by just clicking on the simple link!!
I've tested it out and it really works. Very scary (but I'm protected :D )

Not with this flaw. I've tried this flaw out with Zonealarm running in the background and the files were deleted. :D (cos basically it happens through Internet Explorer I think - which will already have access rights).
M$ have secretly fixed it in SP1 - but most people running XP won't have updated to SP1 yet as it's a 130Mb download, so they are very vulnerable to attack from anyone.

well...m$ is the only company releasing all her programms before fenishing them..thet's why we find so many problems at many programms and many patches are released!!!m$ also tries to get into your sytem by ways you don't think of...haven't you heard of the scandal when cia asked m$ to give her the codes or something like this for all the computers she had access to...about 90% of the pcs that are connected to internet....they tried to cover this up and i think they did pretty well cause very fiew peolpe know this now...

Hey guys
I need HUGE help. So I'm gonna post in our soapbox here.

Decided to install Linux Mandrake on a partition of my hard drive. Used Partition Magic and followed the instructions it provided with Bootmagic.
I have two hard drives - C and D
D was partitioned, so I had two logical drives (G and H)

I told partition magic to create a new partition on D, and it added a few other necessary tasks such as creating a swap drive

It rebooted and completed all of it's 16 tasks after a long time, when it got into Windows (XP) on drive C, drive D was inaccessible and wasn't visable (although the two logical drives which are on the same hard drive are there).

The next step to take in the instructions was to start up Bootmagic but it was on drive D so I couldn't access it.

Drive D is not visable!!! What can I do? All my programs are installed onto drive D, computer's in a critical state now. I really wanna avoid trying to backup everything that I can and formatting cos that is a real headache.
(Thankfully all my music and downloads are on the partitions which are accessible), but files and docs were on D.

Any help really appriciated. I gave System Restore a go but of course it was useless. I tried installing Partition and Bootmagic on my C drive but I got an error.

Always happens doesn't it, once you post ur problem you find the solution. Anyway, good news, used the rescue floppy's for Partition Magic which got me access to the partitions. It turned out that Partitiion Magic had actually hidden the god-damn drive :rolleyes:
Now - onwards with the Linux installation ;)

Good idea, but I decided to do it the long way :p
Was bout to install on D, but decided to backtrack and undo all the changes so I can partition C and install Linux there. Will be finishing the job today.

well, i can tell you that alcohol emulates for safedisc 2.8 in the background, without asking you if you want it to or not. the news on 2.9 isnt for certain yet, but they have definitely updated the blacklistings.

A working backup doesn't mean 1:1!

1:1 is an exact (bit by bit) copy of the original. twinpeak (etc.) is just fooling/reproducing the protection, that is not 1:1.

So a 1:1 doesn't necessarily mean a game that runs without crack/emulation.

Emualtion becomes necessary, when the "fooling" techniques don't work......
