All the webpages that I found the messiah chip are back-order.

Does anyone know where to find Messiah chips in Australia
I got a PS2 and I would like it to be chipped (but I'm trouble....the guy who i brought my ps2 from...has friggen ripped the serial number off the back)

u r pal v3 v4 v5 all work messiah
when u open to install messiah u will b able to tel if its a v3 v4 or v5
it should b 3-5 when did u buy it
v1 and v2 r very old

I brought it last year before christmas (just before version R hit the streets)
I was reading another thread.....and my one when I checked the screws on the bottom.....has 8 screws and the electrical hazzard warnings on it...if that helps

is it a v4 8 screws electrical warning hazard
v3 has 10 screws
if 8 and date code IS NoT 1c(anything else is ok) then u r ok :)

If it is a NTSC v4 as you think it is, then go for a Messiah, they rule! PM dust2dust or charlie_ps2 about buying one from them.

I believe Dust has quoted you for the Messiah because it will work inthe PS2 you've described.

I created my first backup today, how do U know if it is a good one, what files are supposed to be on it? if i did it right then i would be interested in purchasing a Messiah Chip. i used CDRwin 3.8, AddZer0 frontend, and then burned the image to a disk. my email is

Your PS2 is Messiah compatible for PS2 games.
Your CDRWin method is OK for non-EA or copy protected games. It would be better to use CloneCD for all CD copying (www.elby.de) but you would need to check that your reader/burner are 100% compatible with RAW-DAO+96 in the site's compatibility list. CloneCD produces 1:1 copies of CD games.
