i have read which i possible make a backup dvd on a cd-r....

yes it is possible ...but you will need to remove movies & remove music or downsample.

you can backup a dvd to cd BUT. a dvd contains most 4,7 gb and a cd 700 mb so you have to delete some things. Most of the time you delete music movies. It`s also possible to downsample them. This means you don`t have to delete them but the quality will be a lot worser. From dvd to cd is calllad ripping. some games simply can't be copied to cd, since in some, there's simply nothing to rip.. i.e. MGS2 would be ALOT larger than a cd even without music (there's almost no FMV to rip).

Guides can be easily found as well as ripping tools for individual games.

Also the links within ps2ownz are worth checking out sites like Zandels and Superlinux always have rip guides worth looking at.

If you are trying to rip a particular game and are having probs ask for help on this forum and someone will give you the advice you need.
