firmware for pioneer103

can anyone help me with my pioneer 103, i have updated the px engine but my firmware is 1.40 and the best update i can get is 1.55 from the packard bell site, the pioneer sites 1.68 update wont install it says i need to use the pc manufacturers updates.
is there a way around this or am i screwed.

go to http://www.pioneer-eur.com/pioneer/support_software.jsp?category=support/software#fdvdwriter and download your firmwere upgrade there. You don`t have to update your primo dvd but the firmwere drivers. at http://www.psxcopyworld.co.uk/ you can download the latest primo dvd
