Action Replay 2

Ok ive just installed my neo2.2 and it works great. Do i need the action replay 2 to play ps2 backups...

Can i use just the disks from the action replay or do i need it all.

In other words can i download the two disks of the action replay2
and burn to disks

u didn't mention what version ur ps2 was if its a v3 or 4 and want to boot dvd-r games u will need ar2 version 1.7 or 1.9 and why back up the ar2 disc's when u will need the orig to boot the back ups hope this helps

what i mean is can i get away with using the disks and not the card....

i have 300 ar2 v 1.9 with dongle (brand new) left out of 500 for sale, £48 inc p&p uk only, they are orig not copy's so if intrested email me at [email protected]

The "DONGLE" is another name for the hardware cartridge that plugs into your ps2.
Charlies right, without this it wont work,it'll load but you just get a
message saying " hardware not detected".

I thought it might be that is there any other way around it? i do have it and it works but im wondering is there a way of not using it

Only with chips such as MESSIAH otherwise your stuck with it.
Why do you want to do without it?
Are you having any problems?
