Okay, Mr.

You are getting on my nerves. No post is useless, unless it isn't related to a topic, but CirKutz tried to help you. So what is your problem??

Maybe his hint didn't fix your problem, but after all, you should be happy that anybody takes the time to answer your question. Btw, this isn't your first post concerning the same problem. But...ehm, okay.

So you are asking how to fix the registry in this case, right???

I don't know, whether this will fix the problem (I hope my answer isn't useless though):

I used to play the The Sims some time ago and I have already uninstalled it, but try this:

1) Copy the sound to your hd
2) search for any *.ini related to the game and look if there is a path specified
3) open registry and use the search option
Try to search for maxis or sims
Check if there is a path specified for sound
4) Have you installed DirectX8.1 recently?? Or dou have a
Terratec-Soundcard?? Some of my friends told me, they were
facing problems with this.

After all, it is not my duty to read your previous posts again, so could you plz give us some more details concerning your system (os, cpu, soundcard......).

I hope this wasn't to boring for you to read.
It is always a pleasure to help friendly people.
