Ripping Own DVD games???

Just wondered how hard it it to rip your own DVD games...I want to rip them to fit on CDRs. I've got a Plexwriter and a DVD-Rom. I can get a copy of clonecd, winrar, what other software do I need? Are there guides that the groups that ripped the games have made for each individual game? Thanks.
