The Infamous A03 DVDR drive question

Its me FREAK again.....If I am going to purchase a DVDR Drive i want to buy the best of the best..i looked into the A03 and it only burns at 1x to 2x .....I remember my first CDR drive that was 2x and waiting an hour for my burned copy of temple of the dog!!!...I would like any input on what yall know of BAD ASS DVDR drives...and if this a03 is da flaming shitso everyone says it is.

The AO3 is 2x write but remember this dvd...2x write is approx 18x write for cdrs.

Yes your first cdr burner was 2x write but cdrs are only 700mb DVDRs are 4.7gb in size and will still take around 1hr due to the sizes of data being transfered.

the AO3 is a good burner and many happy punters have one

I was unsure about this whole process as well, but I assure you, the DVR-A03 is great. I also had a 2x CD-RW a long time ago (before my more recent ones) and got nervous about the whole "2x" thing. After making a DVD image onto your hard-drive (maybe 15min.) you can burn the Global Image to a blank DVD in about 30min... That's quick, as bckloon has stated, considering a DVD is 4.7gb as opposed to 650-700mb.
