I'm a PS2 v5 user in the US (NTSC) looking to use Cricket 2002 (only PAL) on my unit -

1) Am I going to have to make a backup of the disc in order to play it with the mod chip?

2) What is the best mod chip to buy to work with this game, or has anybody found a chip that works with it at all?

Thanks to anybody with answers....

Chris H.

You need a NTSC patch. They have Cricket 2002 PAL-2-NTSC Patch.

http://www.megagames.com/ps2/ps2_patches_c.shtml and find Cricket 2002 PAL-2-NTSC Patch and download it then patch it on BIN file then burn it then play it VIOLA!

I don't need anything else? No mod key? No utility disc? Just download the patch, burn it on to a disc, insert into the PS2, and VOILA? lol

You still need modchip to work with backup games. Neo 2.5 DVD Modchip and Gameshark 2 to swap disc.

would I be asking? lol

Thanks for the help though - so you have a Neo 2.5 modchip, Gameshark 2, and the patch.....and it works?
