HELP!! Don't know where else to turn

I have burned over 30 games in a variety of ways, without any problems, but I have 4 games that have me absolutely stumped and I need help. I have small hard drives, so I need to get these fixed or delete these. Here goes:

1. World Series Baseball 2k2: Have downloaded all RARs and PARs. Done a PAR check and everything is fine. Burn with Disk Juggler 3.50.799. Burn seems to go fine. I stick it in my DC and it shows as an audio CD-ROM with 00:06 seconds. I tried using CDRIP and converting the file to Nero. Nero seems to get about 75% into the burn and spits it out claiming that it can't lay the end track. I know most people can burn this with DJ, but for some reason it is just showing up as an audio CD. I have tried Utopia to boot it, but nothing happens. I have made 5 DJ coasters and 3 nero coasters. Any suggestions?

2. Space Channel 5: Have downloaded all RARs and PARs. Done a PAR check and everything is fine. Creates a bin/cue format. Load it in CDRWin and the entire burn process appears to go fine. But, it never stops. Finally I eject it after 2 hours. The disk was not burned at all. I haven't had any other problems with CDRWin doing this. I have tried this 5 times with the same problem occuring each time.

3. Soldier of Fortune: Pulls the same stunt as World Series Baseball 2k2 above.

4. NFL2k2: Have downloaded all RARs and PARs. Done a PAR check and everything is fine. Burn with Disk Juggler 3.50.799. Burn seems to go fine. I stick it in my DC and it just shows up as an audio CD-ROM. I stuck the disk back in the PC and I can see that all files burned. They are all in the same root directory. I don't know if this makes a difference as I didn't make any changes that would cause this.

Other information:
* Using a HP 8100i drive
* Using HP Media (more expensive yes, but at least I can burn at 4x without constantly making coasters like I did with cheaper media)
* In each of these situations I also tried dropping down to 1X at least twice before giving up.

These are driving me crazy. And again, I have become quite used to burning, but these programs have me stumped. And, they are all different. Can you suggest some options for me to try for each of these? I don't know where else to ask for help. I have tried newgroups, but I am just ignored.

Please help me Obi-won you are my only hope...

ya some people dont like to help but they want it huh,i had some of those problems you could have bad files but then they wouldn`t winrar so it`s you burner you need to have at least a 10- 12 speed. you can always but one and return it if it does not work either.because my old six speed worked fine for a while but then it did not work on my dc but with the new one it does sony24/10/40 and no more bufferunder runs or any problems,
by the way space channel 5 sucks bad except for a 3-5yr old girl

On Echelon's WSB2k2 after I am done burning in DJ or CDRWin and insert it in the DC it shows up as a CD-ROM with 76 minutes.

Please, somebody out there must have some ideas that I can try.

Is there anybody here that can help? Are you choosing not to help? Do you really not know how to fix these problems? Can you direct me to a resource that can help?

Are your cdi images 2 sessions? If they're one session then they're not good. Games for DC released in .cdi format are always at least 2 sessions (only one data track in session 2) (one or more audio tracks in session 1)

When you have a busted cdi file DJ won't know how to burn it and it will default to the settings you specify in advanced (most likely audio) but it won't warn you. You have to make sure your cdi images are at least 2 session. Just look under the source image diplayed in DJ

As for the BIN/CUE. Are you using CDRwin 4.0? I used it too and messed up my 1st 8 cdr's i tried to record with it and had no clue why (read below). I Switched to an earlier release and it all worked out fine. U can try Fireburned as an alternative to CDRWin it also supports bin/cue.

As crazy as it may sound I heard from reliable sources that CDRwin will not tell you if some of the registration data you put in is wrong. It 'll say thank you for purchasing .... but in the background it'll keep giving you hell by messin up your cd's. So if you were using a "serial" from someone else there's a chance that CdRWin accepted it but it will make you pay for it by not recording your cd's the way it should. This is a good protection scheme but few know about it. Don't think that just because you used it successfully in the past everything is fine.

How did u manage see all files burned ???
In your pc you can only read the first session of A Self bootable DC game backup (like NFL2k2) which will always have at lest 2 sessions. You can't read the files recorded in the 2nd session since they are recorded in Mode2/ cdxa . As for the audio tracks that you CAN read ... well it's just audio.

That is incorrect, Tintino. A CD-ROM or CD-R/CDRW drive ***ALWAYS*** looks at the VERY LAST SESSION on a multi-session CDROM disc. The audio session won't be seen in most cases. Some CDROM drives may have difficulty reading all sessions of some discs and may stop before it gets to the data session, but almost every CDROM or CD-R/CDRW drive is going to automatically go to the last session.

Since older bootable Dreamcast backups have a small audio session followed by the data session, you would see the files.

Newer bootable Dreamcast backups have a data session followed by another copy of the same data session (such as with importing the files to a new session and then burning it again). Since both sessions show the same data and the CD drive is going to look at the last session anyway, it will still show the files on the disc.

I have 30-50 backup discs (lost count), and most are bootable. Every single one of the discs shows the data session when I place it in either my CDRW or DVD drive.

Waine , you're absolutely right and i should've known this since i frequently use multisession cdrw's (for development) The last session is the one that the pc will read.

So how did he see the files in the original image to make the comparison with the burned disk? DJ won't show you what's in the mode2/xa track in the image....

I solved my problem. And it might be the same one many of you are having. After not getting any suggestions on this board I went over to ISO News where they were more than helpful and gave me sever ideas on how to fix the problem with step by step instructions.

Strangely enough it was a very simple solution. The HP8100i drive in all of their firmware revisions, with the last being 1.0g, is not capable of burning the full 80 minutes. It peaks out around 78 minutes and some odd seconds. However, it never gives you a clue that it can't actully burn the full 80 minutes. This is why Disk Juggler appears to do the burn fine. There is sony drive that is actually the same as this one and a firmware patch was release for it, that when applied to the HP drive will allow it to burn up to around 79:57. I've had the same problem as you can read in the thread "Settings in DJ with NHL2K2? ".

But mine was a SONY CRX-100E.

So I think that will solve many of the "DJ/NERO" problems on this board.
