Hi Gents:

I have checked EVERY link from GCW in an attempt to download the "No-CD/Fixed EXE" patch, and EVERY one of them downloads in some kind of CODE/Text format...I can see the code/text as it loads written out on my screen.

What do I do with this type of download?

What I really want is a ZIP file of this "No-CD/Fixed EXE" thing...I used the last one before the patch and it worked great.

Any help appreciated!!!

VLuka (10-02-2002 23:03):
Right-click on link then use Save Target As or use download manager like Flashget for example.

Thanks VLuka! I right-clicked and the file appears intact and in my GR folder...HOWEVER:
the file has the generic "Windows" logo, ("properties" says it's a "General" file), the title of the file is...

"Ghost_Recon_115_nocd.ace"

..what the heck is an "ace" file, and how do I execute this thing?

Many thanks for any/all help patience!

I'm going bug$hit here:

1) D-loaded "WinAce" utility.

2) Installed "WinAce" with no probs.

3) Have now d-loaded the no-CD file THREE times, from THREE different servers, and:

"archive broken" is what I get when I try to execute the file via "WinAce".

Any clues? Better yet, anyone hosting a WORKING file anywhere?

Arrrgh; save my pet cat from being kicked, thanks :)
