How to upograde ricoh 7083A to retail

Hi there ppls,

I've read about how you could upgrade from ricoh 7063A to 7083A retail. What I'm not sure is how would you change from Ricoh 7083A(OEM) to MP7083A??

Please help...I'm a newbie at these things. :)

after you do the hardware part, see what the firmware version is. if it's not 1.2, go to this address for the 7083A 1.2 firmware fix:

glad I caught the mistake in the last paragraph, it now shows correctly 7083A.
