i find it to be the opposite... my stuff runs smoother in xp than ever before.

Me too!!!
First I've installed XP on a separate Partition to test my programms. So I've got no problems with XP, I upgraded my Win98.

XP is the best operatingsystem since MS-DOS!! ;-)
