OOOOPS - figured it out!!!!! Downloaded and installed 9MM firmware upgrade and we have liftoff. Anyone who needs same, go to www.dvd-wizards.com/darrenk/660/660patch.htm
I am not able to get an MP3 CDR to play on my 660. I create the disc by transferring MP3 encoded files with CD Creator and then test it in my computer's CD/DVD drive and it works beautifully. I put the closed CDR (or even a trial CDRW) in the 660 and the TV screen shows the MP3 main menu with "Roots" (whatever they are) and Root "0" shows the four MP3 files that I copied as well as the fancy "MP3" logo to the left of each of them. When I press "play" on the machine, absolutely nothing happens! If I use the remote and page through the titles, I can select one and then when I press play the machines "plays" through it (I think - no sound" VERY rapidly, as if it just scanned it in an instant. What is happening here?
I used Real Juke Box to encode, but I was careful to encode in pure MP3 128kbps
Oh yeh, I noticed that my receiver shows "unlocked" as the player is "scanning" my selection.
PS It won't even recognize WMA - period. I was stupid enough to try that first!
