Fairly new to dvd burning but for some reason my pioneer a03 wont recognise dvd rw's. do i need to format these first oand if so what is the best way. dvd r's are fine. Thanks

The only thing that I could tell you is to make sure that they are DVD-rw discs and not DVD+rw discs. I have the same drive but have only used DVD-r discs so far.
