need help istalling 1.20 (patch hangs system)

this really weird
i installed 1.20 before already so i know my patch works.
anyway ,i was doing a clean install
1.00 was installed fine (with serial using the original setup.exe)

i then wanted to patch it to ver 1.20
so i installed the patch , the patch checked all the files and then
moved on to updating them , all was ok till it got to "Data3D.PBO"
and then it just hangs the system .

i tried this procces a number of times , if anyone got a real clue then help me out

I have the same problem, but i couldn't apply this patch anytime. I think this is about my system(it could be damaged), windows me. Can you say what's yours?
