View Full Version : program to reduce cdreader speed to read crappy quality cdr
i have an aopen 48x cdrom that doesn't spin down for crappy quality cdrs and so basically cannot read them. However, these cdrs can be read with my old cdrom which runs at 8x. is there a way or program that lets me choose a lower speed for my cdrom to run at?
What about your cd-writer? Mine reads at 32x max.
Best of luck m8. :-)

Nero 5.5 includes a toolkit witch u can reduce reading/writing speeds her's a ulr ####://www.ahead.de/nero55.htm look under "nero toolkit"
maybe ther's a exclusive app for this kind of problem but Nero is 5.5 is one solution.
I use Plextor Manager in my Plex161040
It perhaps can works on your drive :)
As long as programs like Nero and CloneCD are compatible with your drives, you can lower the read speed when copying discs.
I'd ditch those cheapo discs after you've copied them onto better brands. Sounds like they're too much trouble..
