Arcanum Back Up [Archive]

Has anyone been able to successfully backup Arcanum?

I ran several attempts yesterday that resulted in coasters. Tried CloneCD and Nero and had no luck. Any suggestions? The No-CD got me to at least see the Sierra and Troika spash screens and then shelled out to the desktop.

Is this really a CD Check security or is there something else on there? I hate to play with the masters.

I'd like to see the CD crack for this one, I also get the wrong cd message...

*ponder* You don't suppose sub channel (either audio or data) is used in the install. The install is a tandard msi package so that leads me to think otherwise.

It acts a lot like Zeus did with the sub channel data check. I need to try that as an option to see if it works.

hey guys....i figured out a way to play arcanum without the CD, get "unsecurom 1.0"...ok now...put the disk 2 into the CD-ROM drive, run unsecurom...open arcanum.exe from the directory where u've installed your game on the harddisk, and click on "dump/rebuil"....the process takes about 1 minute....but after that u should be able to play the game without the CD....YAY!....if neone knows how to make a PERFECT 1:1 copy of the originals plz share...as i hate to have mine damaged...enjoy!

yeah, im having the same problem.
when inserted with the play disc & tried to click the play button to start, nothing happened.
the game wont start.....
any soul out there with a solution plz come forward.
