I'm freshly new at this copying thing, First of all I have Sony crx160e, using clonecd now I used the unversal instructions for backup copies. It worked as far a successful burn but all it will do is install it on my computer. But keeps asking me for original cd.If someone can give me an idea on what to do lame mans term for a newbie it will be greatly appreciated. BTW please tell me about the how to use the executable archive and replacing the original maxpayne.exe original. How do I do that also. I downloaded but it just doesn't seem to work that .ace program is very confusing. Thanks Kenn

JUST EXTRACT THE CONTENTS OF THE .ACE FILE 2 A TEMP DIRECTORY, THEN REPLACE THE ORIGINAL MAXPAYNE.EXE WITH THE ONE IN THE TEMP DIRECTORY THAT YOU JUST UNZIPPED...

THEN THE GAME WON'T ASK U FOR THE CD

P.S YOU NEED 2 DO A 'FULL' INSTALLATION OF THE GAME 4 THIS 2 WORK...

HAVE FUN

I understand what you're saying I have the game installed in full and downloaded the .ace file, I tried that, and the file looks it has nothing to it or I just don't know how to extract the file and replace, where do I replace the file on the game at? How do I make a temp file? If you could explain this in full. Thanks Kenn

to unpack the .ace file you need Winace... a Winzip like software.
Once you unaced the .ace file in a directory you created, you will find a file called MaxPayne.exe
Copy this file in the MaxPayne directory (it will ask you if you want to replace the original one... answer "YES")
Then you can launch Max Payne without the CD.

Huh if someone could tell me how to play in multiplayer mode ? if there is one of course ;o)
