Hey.

I used the article posted on GameCopyWorld.com about how to burn E: BFD disk #1 (by replacing two EXE's with other ones, and changing the CD-ROM label to "EMPEROR1") and it worked great...
I installed the game, but now when I choose to play a house, it asks me to enter the house's CD, and it doesn't work...
I'm using Windows 98. The three disks are burnt on 800MB+ CD-R's by GPT.. green labels. :-) My CD-ROM seems to read those disks' contents perfectly.., the files are shown when I open it in "My Computer" and when I enter the CD the auto-run ####ts normally.. it all works fine until I choose to play a house, even if I ####t the game through a certain house's CD.
Hmpf, the only thing I can think of is the label thingie.. maybe it should be EMPEROR2/3/4 instead of those numbers the CD-R program created as the label..
And then again in the article in GameCopyWorld.com it says there's no protection for those disks... woah, I blabbered a lot, didn't I... :-)
Anyway, HELP ME! :-)

Sock.

Guess you did get the labels wrong.
Looks like you already know what they should be.

Hmm.. are you sure that's the problem..?
The labels should be EMPEROR2, EMPEROR3, and EMPEROR4, right?

Oh, and can anyone tell me what disk belongs to what house? :-)

Look into the file resource.cfg at the end if the correct drive letter is put there.

Atreides = Emperor2
Harkonnen = Emperor3
Ordos = Emperor4

I tried that, still not working.
I think the volume label thingie is the problem, am gonna try it now.

note- if you have one or more cd-rom drives, you must have the game disk always in the cd-rom drive with the lowest letter.

this could be the solution, because one of the cracks that have been posted has that small problem. tried it because it may work, as it works for me

I tried that, the problem was in the CD-ROM label, working now. :-)
