mmsystem 296 error [Archive]

can anyone help me out on this ?
cause everytime I launch age of empires II it tells me this and I can't view the avi movies.

help !

Look at the CD, there is some crap on it.
I dont know the exact name, beacause my cd is missing :(
So look at some files, like ivplay5.exe or some things and install this.
I had the same problem, and installed the things from cd and then all works fine.
