Do all the CD-Copy patches make the burned copy of the game exactly the same as it regularily would be?

No. They just edit it so it thinks it is the same although some add-on packs can detect this (a.k.a the sims livin large) .
Use clonecd or nero to make exact copies. (not sure about nero so dont blame me if U can't. Clonecd does though, I use it)
