anyone gotten the RA2 no cd crack to work?

i followed the instructions on the page but then when i start the game it says ' initialization failed you will need to reinstall '

btw its the 1.004 no cd crack #2 and i dont have any acers or philips CDRs

JUST GET A COPY OF THE CD DONE
I HAD A FEW PROBLEMS BUT MANAGED TO GET A COPY THAT WORKS IN ANY CD ROM DRIVE
AND NO I HAVE ONLY GOT A TRAXDATA CDRW WITH NO PHILLIPS HARDWARE
