i have a creative 8x4x32x and its on the list of clonecd
i wanted to backup 2 games:
Metal gear solid and Project IGI
both i could make an image that would work with daemon
but when i wrote the image to a cd the cd wasnt readable anymore?!?
how to back those games up?!?
or how to setup clonecd?!?

First of all id find out what protection if any they have and set up clone the best way to read the cd (ie. safedisk check fast error skip) then go from there. Also if your burner doesn't read subchannel data correctly then it will take longer to read the disk.

It has three protections to make it harder to copy but anyone can copy it.

1. It’s is an oversized CD.
2. It’s got a data then 2 audio then another data track. This is an illegal TOC.
3. It's got dummy files, they are hidden, and they have an .afp extension.

Make a image using clone CD
Read at 1 speed
Read sub channel data and audio

Write with everything tick except simulation
Write a 1 speed

Use an 80 min CDR. I used a Memorex CDR.

I did everything at one speed because there are fewer chances of errors and I’m tired of making coasters. And I read and write using a Sony 140E.

i found out the following:
just copy the files to the hd, put the cracks in place
then burn it no 80min cds needed also :)

I backed up Project IGI Uk with CloneCD.
Read at max and nothing ticked!
Write at 1x with nothing ticked!
Use a 80Mb CD!

I have a Yamaha8x4x24 and it is not supported by CloneCd so your writer should do the job aswell.
