is there a way to back up gameshark that makes it so I dont need the hardware. My little cuzin broke the hardware THANKZ

I don't know if this is what you mean, but to boot PS2 games I don't use the hardware, I use GS v2.0 and when the "no hardware detected" screen appears I just press "start" and it jumps to the screen where you choose with or without codes. Then I just do the normal boot steps and it works just fine.

that doesn't work with the GS 1.7/AR 1.9, which is needed for EA and DVD-R games, tho.

I'm playing "FIFA 2002" using a Neokey and GS2 V2 with no hardware and I haven't had any problems. I Haven't tried DVD-R tho.
