I own a NSTC ps2, want to get a modchip,2.5 neo installed.Just wondering if all cd games can be backed up.I keep hearing people say that you have to apply patches to games etc. Can anyone make it clear for me.By the way has anyone heard of the memory manager apparently it works with booting backup just like gameshark but alot cheaper.Heard it loads games quicker as well.If anyone has one or knows anything about it can you reply. THanks all

ok all games can be backed up! you got dvd rom games and cd rom games. dvd (silver) cd (blue). now you need a dvd burner for the dvd silvers or you can rip them onto cd but that means you loose movies and music. when backing cd rom (blue) most games don't require a patch except ea sport games. a program to patch ea sport games you can get is ppf-o-matic from megagames.com. with the dvd rom games you at least need a dvd reader
cheers

You don't need a list. Every EA CD-R game will play without patching copied by CloneCD if ALL the following are true:

1 You have a NEO2.2 or 2.5 or OrigaChip or Messiah

2 You do NOT have a USB modchip

3 Your reader and burner are RAW-DAO+96 compatible (subchannel data)

NEO4 is my blind spot. I know they say it needs a patch but I can't see why if you've used CloneCD.

If you have a NEO4 try it, if not someone else will hopefully answer that point.
