Hi,
I tried to make a safe-copy of "Anstoss3" with CDRWIN, but it does not work. When I try to read the CD the program says immediatly after I hit the start button: "Error: Unable to analize disc layout Illegal track or pregap length."
Can anybody help me.
Maybe somebody who made a safecopy of Anstoss3 already. I tried it already with CloneCD and Bindread/write.

It sounds like, from what you have said, that your cdwriter is not capable of reading the data inorder to circumvent the copy protection. Please email me with your drive type (make and model).

As far as I know Anstoss3 ist protected with ProtectCD (German Ver.). I backuped it with CloneCD Ver. 1.0.2.4 so higher versions will work too. Have you used the correct settings in CloneCD? And ist your reader/writer compactible with it. If yes than you can make a running copy, you only have to use the correct settings:

subchannel data on
subchannel data audiotrack on

and keep the rest off.
Reading the orig. CD can take up to 24 hours so don't lose your patiance :-)

i have the same problem at some other games........and only this games where a track shorter than 4 sec is......so the best i think is use clonecd couse there isnt this problem.....but there is another way on cdrwin....you have to copy only the sektors....however yoiu have to give the exactly position of the tracks for reading....

24 hours?!!! I didn't know that it could take that much time! I always stoped the reading process when it was at 99%. CloneCD said: 16 hours to go then 28 hours, sometimes the program did not know how long it would take.
So will try it again now. Lets see what is tomorow...
