Big Trouble with Colin McRae 2...PLEASE HELP!

I've tried every crack there is! See what happens :

- I've fully installed the game

- I've replaced CMR2.exe with the crack

I've started the game. Everything looked normal. I watched the intro, browsed the in game menus but, when I tried to start a race (any race in any country with any car) look what happened: whenever I reach a particular point on the road (a few seconds after I start the race), the game freezes and I need to reboot the PC!!! Please, anyone, help me! I'm desperate! Is this an internal piracy check or is my PC the problem?

I have the same problem.I've tried every crack but the game still keeps crashing.I have a Celeron 300 and Voodoo3 64RAM Win98SE.The same CD though works on my friends PC (Pentium3 128MB GeForce).I hope it is not a PC problem that we have,cause this game is great! Will please someone fix this!!!

Oh man,

It looks like Voodoo 3 shit! I hope that's not it though... Have you installed DirectX 8 yet? Do you think this might cause the problem? Which Voodoo 3 drivers have you installed? I have the latest ones which support DX8. Should we try reinstalling an earlier version of Voodoo drivers?

Should this problem occur in an original CMR2 cd too? If not, I'm going to buy it tomorrow, first thing in the morning... :)

Seems like Voodoo3 shit indeed! I have DircetX 8 too and the latest Voodoo drivers just like you!!!I will try to install older drivers or try to remove diertX8 and put version 7.0a again.I will notify you if I get it running and you please do the same.
