for anyone having probs booting psx games with the origa..

..like me (they used to lock up at the psx logo):

turn on the ps2 with eject, wait till the browser screen, hit triangle, select version and hit triangle again, then set diagnosis to ON, leave back to the main menu, and close the tray with the psx game, it will boot.

Did this not work?

Switch on at the back.
Press EJECT & insert PS1 game
Press RESET to close tray & boot game

What's your Origa/PS2 version out of curiosity?

nope, that method didn't work for me, it always locked up at the psx logo.
it's an origa 1.25 in a jap. ps2, model 10000.
