how to backup RA 2 US/English version

hello,

if anyone can help me please tell me how to make a sucsesfull backup of Red Alert 2.
I do exactly what it says on gamecopyworld but the patch cant find the EXE file.
I cant sneak trough Safedisc 2 either.
I want to make a backup before something happens to the disc.
