USAF NoCD won't work!!

Just wasted 1 1/2 hours downloading the official USAF 1.02F patch and then the USAF.EXE from the Patch Archive. Followed the instuctions for replacing the USAF.EXE and still get asked for the CD. Anyone have any other ideas?
