psx games with sbox

Hi I just bought a Neokey sbox, and it works great for the ps2 backups. However, since the wire modification, my console won't play psx originals or backups. Does anyone know what is wrong, and what I can do to fix the problem? I was under the assumption that you can just unplug the sbox and play the games as normal. I've tried it with the sbox and without. I NEED SOME HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

I have a S-Box and DVD-X for the v4 board. I have no problems playing PSX originals or my backups. Leave the S-Box in, but dont mess with the switch.
