NFS V - Porche Unleashed - probs w/Gizmo's CD copy

Greets all. I'm hoping someone can help with a small prob I'm having with the CD copy for the English (3.3) ver of Need For Speed 5 - Porche Unleashed. I followed the instuctions implicitly, and burned a copy of the game. In installs fine, until just after the EA Updater is finished, then it pops up and error message : "Error! Could not find/open game registry key.SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\Need For Speed - Porsche 2000". Then installation ends. Launching the game is fine until I actually get to the track, and I get returned to the desktop. I also noticed that the "3D Setup" util, when launced, returns the same error. Running Regedit yeilds no such entry. I'd happily create a reg fix file if I knew what it was looking for...Since the unpatched (retail) ver DOES NOT create this entry, perhaps its a matter of renaming an existing entry...??

The retail version does create this registry entry.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Electronic Arts\Need For Speed - Porsche 2000

unless you can copy raw you need a replacement .exe i have on my cd....with a full install....also there are many cd key texts that do the job but to race multi online is a diff thing? didn't try again, not working first time....C.
