PSX Backup puzzle !

I am trying to backup TOCA World Touring Cars, using CDRWin and PPF-O-MATIC v2.0. I have successfully applied patch and successfully completed copy (according to end message on CDRWin), but when loading game all I am getting is a crack info screen and then the TOCA title screen appears and the game freezes. Any help solving this puzzle would be greatly appreciated.

If you are getting a screen that says the system has been modified or one with a circle and a slash through it then the game is anti mod protected, be sure you are using the correct patch.
