I want to know -- I downloaded an ISO online that claims to be able to let me play my games w/o a mod chip.

I burnt it and it didn't work...is it just me, or are these not supposed to work?

Do I have to buy one of those non-mod boot CDs or can I burn my own?

Sorry for my newbiness...got into this recently

Thanks

Boot CD's and Gamesharks (CDX's) have a uncopiable sector's you'll need to purchase them to use them without a mod chip!!

Perhaps they should use the search function to obtain info. This has been covered a thousand times over. A PSX cannot read a cdr with out having a modchip. Because of this The PSX-change or any other boot disc or downloaded .img file that is backed up to cdr will not work. You must have a original psx-change boot disc or a internal modchip to play backups.
