View Full Version : Help With Sbox
I recently got an Sbox chip for my PS2 and a Gameshark v. 1.6. I installed the chip and soldered the two points together and tested with an original game. The original games work as well as ntsc all my DVD's. I then tested an original playstation backup and that worked fine as well. But when i try to start up my ps2 backups, the 1st Gameshark cd doesn't even load. It says "please insert a playstation 2 game" right after starting the machine up. So I can't even get into the the Gameshark main menu to play my ps2 backups. The Gameshark is inserted into my first memory card slot, and the sbox is inserted into my top usb port. If you know why my gameshark cd isn't loading or have any suggestions, please let me know, as i'm desperate to get it working! Thanks.

I also had that prob after purchasing my ps2 at Christmas time and apparantly all the new ps2's out now will need the latest version of gameshark there is which is like a 1.93 and so far can only be gotten by contacting the team at gameshark. I emailed them and had mine within a week. Here is a link to their help page with the answer to your question, just click on their email link and tell them what is happening and that you need the newest update of gameshark. They should send it for free as they did mine :) ####://www.gameshark.com/productinfo/articles/304804p1.html
Hope that helps! I know how frustrating it was for me, and the store, LOL, I took my ps2 back 3 times thinking there was something wrong with it but everything works just fine now, including the gs2! ;)
Thanks a lot! I was afraid it was my PS2 too. LOL
