Please help a newbie,
Am having problems copying psx games with multiple disks.
1) Syphon Filter 2 the first disk plays fine but when prompted to place the second disk (the copied one) an error message shows up. But after I place the original in and save it one time, I can use my back-up disk without any problem.
2) Fear effect 2 does the same thing, yet Gran Turismo 2 back-ups work without a problem.

*both Fear effect 2 and Syphon fiter originals are NSTC and are without copyprotection (at least that I can find)

have tried both clonecd and cdrwin for copies without success. Thanks in advance ---grasshopper

I have copied Syphon filter 2 (UK Pal) and I have had no problems. The only problems I have ever encountered have been down to the media. Have you tried something different?

stingray,
have been using verbatim disk with varying copy speeds 1x-4x using both clone cd and cdrwin without success. Both games are NSTC games, could possibly be my problem, were do I find UK PAL version of games?

Grasshopper.
Verbatim discs come highly recomended by other members (although I don't use them myself) but it still might be worth trying something different like TDK, as they could be better suited to your burner.
As to where you might get a Uk PAL version of Syphon Filter 2, unless you live in th UK this is not something I can help you with.
Maybe some-one else has the answer.

You may have had the same problems as me, check this post for a possible solution:

are you using a boot disc?

No, I don't use a boot disc I bought a stealth four wire chip from h**p://www.consolesource.com and put a switch on it. This game provided a few days of frustration until I figured out the problem.
