I have a PAL ps2 which i got a few months ago...and i have already got quite a few games... and as most know they wernet cheap. The problem is that im quite careless with my discs no matter how hard i try... and they are getting damaged. In other words...i wish to make copies of my games so i can use these and be as careless as i am... without potentially throwing away my money

What i need is advice on how i can best do this... bearing in mind i just spent a small fortune on my ps2 im slightly concerned about breaking off disc trays and sticking pumkin knives inside the drive!

What is the best way to play my backups? Bearing in mind i would be happy to pay up to £50 for a chip to help me in my task... but ive heard about problems...ideally i would like one that doesnt involve complicated and time consuming 'swap tricks'...thats not what i spent my piggy bank on...for some time i was interested in the Neo4...but my hopes for that are gone.

Help! i need advice... im new to this and dont know what to do! whats the best way? Help would be appreciated :)

NEO4 is crap anyway as you have to swap DVDRs and EA games. Messiah or Clone is the answer. No swap solution - just wait for them to come. Otherwise you're stuck with swap solutions like NEO2.5.

CloneCD is the best copying program for CDs as it does 1:1 copies including the copy protection. EA games don't need patching.

For DVDs, well the Pioneer A03 writer will produce DVD-Rs with Neor 5.5.6.4.

Do you want more detailed basic info?

The jury's out on these clones. The ELVIS I bought last week isn't working yet - some installation difficulties. I've got a different batch arriving next week on which I'll report as soon as I can get them installed. They are really difficult to do on v4s and a lot easier on v5 PS2s. Currently PAL but the version I get may be swingable to NTSC.
