View Full Version : HELP!! I'm new and confused!!!
I recently bought my first burner and tried to backup a PSX game for the first time. Easy CreateCD 4 said that the game (Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX) had more than 100 transitions and that Easy CreateCD could not do that many on a single track. My burner is a Philips PCRW804 8x4x32. My system is running an AMD Athlon 900Mhz, 20G HD, 128MB SDRAM, Creative CD5220-F 52x CD-ROM. Please help me. The main reason I bought the burner is to back up ALL of MY games and software. Thank you.
forget the adaptec stuff. use cdr-win, or cloncecd.
That's all it'll take? So, my only problem is that I'm using Easy CreateCD 4?
Your burner is CloneCD compatible. Use CloneCD. As to whether there's anything else you have to do ... there's modchipping the PS. Look it all up on the forum.
Hi,
You can get info on modchips or boot cds for the ps1 at any of the following addys -
www.playstationmods.com
www.kanection.co.uk
www.modchip.com
As Charlie says use CLONECD stay away from that adaptec stuff its rubbish for backups, im sure i said that in another post this week.
Also for tutorials on CLONECD or CDR-WIN check out DEANOS site www.psxcopyworld.co.uk
that will get you started and before you know it your be a backup king
Also use good media i swear by verbatim but sony or tdk will do. Decent media is just as inportant as good writer software.
Goodluck mate

your adaptec software is designed for making music and storing data. The easiest way to tell if a software is any good is if it has a RAW mode option which would allow you to try, yes that's try to make a 1 for 1 copy!! As you read the tutorials on how to use the software you find you'll understand what I mean by try!!
