do i need a dvd burner to back-up dvd games?

do i need a dvd burner to back-up dvd games? or are there patches etc to convert them back to normal cd rom? stupid question i know! but theres always hope...........

yes, there are. but keep in mind that in order to fit the game on CD, movies and music will need to be removed, so the game is not of the same quality as the original. some games are simply too large to fit on CD at all too.

Thanks 4 your help but, if i was backing up tony hawks3 which files do i need to keep?

the files on the disk are:

50400
demo
iop
movies
music
streams
skate3.hed
skate3.wad
sles 504.35
system

if i remove the movies and music, does this mean i will not have sound on the game, i assume the movies are just the FMV between levels right?

OH yeah! if i back up the game i cannot use clone cd if i need to remove files, so what program do i need to use?
