Plug in modchips?

im thinkin bout buying a modchip but i really dont feel like sodering one into my psx so im thinking about buying one that just plugs into the back and i was just wondering how good those kind or chips work, do they play all burned games and what not? also what is a reputable site to order these from?

The Ps X Change boot cd for the PS1 is a great alternative to chipping your Playstation. I have a couple of chums that use them and had great results.
