View Full Version : PSX game copying
Can you copy PSX games onto black CDRs and have them work without a mod chip in the PSX? If so what is the best way of doing it?
Sorry m8 didn't mean to be abrupt in my last reply.
As far as things go if you copy, you need a chip.
Doesn't matter what colour the disks are mate, I've borrowed my mates car it's the same make and model as mine, just a different colour, but it doesn't drive any better!!
Hi,
YOu can get a boot cd which will allow you to play your PS1 backups. You can get one from www.Kanection.co.uk there called PS Exchange, much easyier then chipping your playstation and do the same job.
Cheers
Dal
Forget the Black CDR's, almost all give a naff result for PSX backups! Use a good quality branded media for best results like Verbatim, Sony and TDK etc.
As far as a mod is concerned then i would recommend an internal mod chip, and make sure its obtained from a reputable supplier. Internal mods chips are far less hassel than any of the external gadgets that are currently available.
I would have to agree with SPOOKY that the internal chips are better than the External stuff.
The main reason is the hassle of having to put the boot disc in before you play any back-ups.
The advantage of the External stuff is obviously if you are scared to open your psx console to chip it you don't have to.
you could play it without a mod chip you could juss do the swap trick it's pretty easy
