convert japan to europe games

I own an european psx2 with the chip to read backup but i can only read european backup with it. What can i do to read japanese and american backup? Which program i have to get to convert on a cd image and what is a cd image? Thanks

Which chip? How do you copy the Jap games (which copy program)? What are exact symptoms of Jap coopies not working?

A cd image is what is known as the contents of a cd stored on your hard drive.

This is done by using various programs on the market the best around are

CloneCD
CDrwin

once you have a image you can copy it back to CD.

as charlie says what are the problems you are having with regards to the Jap/europe games.

the symptome is when i activate the chip of the ps2 and insert a japanese or american copy, i see that the psx2 read the game but the screen of the tv is black without sound or image and i don't have the page "insert a cd playstation or playstation 2" of the ps2. Where can i find a programme to convert ntsc to pal. However it's very kind of you to reply my message ^__^
