Region X - Black and White On region 1 DVDs

HI,

Region X works great for booting Ps2 backups, but it seems when i play a region 1 DVD the picture is in black and white. Is this because im using the scart lead which came with my PS2, do i need to be a decent lead???

I've seen posts that describe a scart lead that works - some 3 months ago perhaps. I avoid all that hassle by using an NTSC to PAL convertor in combo with the PS2 AV lead (yellow, white, red jacks). NTSC outputs play colour with this convertor. I remove the convertor for PAL outputs.

Hey Charlie,

Thanks for the info, ive just taken my scart lead off my old PS1. Its playing region 1 dvds in colour now, so thats another thing sorted, This Region X is a cheeky little number!!!
