Copy not working

Ok, First of all, I am trying to copy RESIDENT EVIL: SURVIVAL and i use cloneCD with a Yamaha 16x Burner. I have on of those "External Mod-chips" called 'Gold Finger' When i put the copy in the PSX, the Gold Finger screen comes up, then i hit ####t game and it shows a big thing that says '####T' and it sits there. Forever. Well, for at least 5 minutes. I tried with the orignal CD and the ####t screen was gone in abpout 10 seconds. Now, another thing, When I go into CD Explorer, (w/ the copy) it says it is a music CD with one 50 min. long track. What is wrong?

I am not the expert on externial mod chips but it's my understanding they suck. Try doing a search on spooky or backitup, i am sure they can help. good luck.. hope you get it sorted.
