Mod Chips

I have one play station. Why would i need more than 1 chip. i see they sell in bulk quantity in a lot of sites. What would be the purpose of 2,3,4,5 chips?

For reselling them of course, if you get a deal on a bunch and sell them all individually, you get profit, although anyone whos smart sells chips that they program themselves
