I HAVE A FREECOM EXTERNAL USB RECORDER AND WHEN I TRY TO COPY GAMES ALL I GET IS "PLEASE INSERT PLAYSTATION GAME"Many people have difficulties in backing up protected psx games eg Crash Bash,CTR using Philips based burners such as Freecom, Traxdata, Iomega etc.
this should help
Use Cdrwin to create a bin file and patch it as usual.
Get a copy of Fireburner.
Run it and select "visual cue burner"
Drag the cue file you made with Cdrwin into the pane.
Right click and select "burn/test burn"
Select TAO (not DAO - this is important).
Burn your first ever copy of Crash Bash, CTR etc.
hope this helps
